Frequently asked questions

What is a good internet speed?

For HD video calls and streaming, a stable 10 to 25 Mbps per device is usually comfortable. Gaming cares more about low ping than raw speed.

What are ping and jitter?

Ping is the time a signal takes to reach a server and return, in milliseconds. Jitter is how much that time varies. Lower numbers are better.

Why is my result lower than my package speed?

WiFi signal, busy hours, distance from the router, many connected devices and the test server can all lower the result. Test close to the router for the best reading.

Is the speed test free?

Yes. It is free, needs no account and uses a public test server.
